Portia was born in South Africa and grew up in Los Angeles. In May of 2023, she moved from Miami to Buenos Aires, Argentina. She started DJing during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Her sets consist of a mix of afro, soulful, disco, and progressive sounds. She spins with contagious energy and she is always dancing and smiling. Before moving to S. America she had residency at the legendary Segafredo (Miami Beach), as well as the hip and trendy Shōtō (Washington DC). She has been featured in events and festivals in various cities in the US, as well as internationally. She has formed a strong online presence on twitch (portialive) and with various radio stations like abusiaradio & myhouseradiofm. She has played at festivals and events alongside world renown DJs and producers like Louie Vega, Anane Vega, Osunlade, Karizma,Djeff, Oscar P, Doc Martin, Mobi Dixon, Hallex M, Kemmit, Ian Friday and many more.
