Dj Chiavistelli, birthname Simone Chiavistelli, was born on July 10th 1974 in Cecina, a sunny town by the sea, about 30 km from Livorno. At home he keeps a fascinating collection of records that betrays a passion for music that bloomed at a very young age. His passion for dj’ing and dance goes back to the second half of the ’80s, thanks to legendary artists such as Run DMC, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, MAARS, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Frankie Knuckles, Steve ‘’Silk’’ Hurley, Marshall Jefferson, S-Expresse and many others. The first parties are dated 1989, and he recalls with pleasure and nostalgia the first records he played like ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance)’ by C&C Music Factory, ‘The Power’ by Snap!, ‘French Kiss’ by Lil Louis, ‘Rich in Paradise’ by FPI Project and ‘Gypsy Woman’ by Crystal Waters. In 1991 he moves to Milan where he meets Enzino Fargetta who offers him the one in a lifetime opportunity to play with him in front of an audience of over 2,000 people. It’s the mythical City Square, where he remains a resident dj for 6 years, evolving, artistically, to Dj Chiavistelli. Back in 1993 at ‘Re Artu’, a historical pub in Milan, he grows an incredible 'underground' fever on Wednesday nights, thanks to the passion of the owner Tullio and Chiavistelli’s musical selections. Today this beat is well known as House Music. Soon this ‘one night’ becomes a meeting for pr, models, dj’s and all nightlife lovers. His success brings him on the spotlight and he’s eventually contacted by the agency for artists and models ‘Night fashion’, to become a resident dj at their parties. Many are the ‘one night’ settled by the agency, among the most famous at ‘Madame Claude’ in Milan on Sunday night, at ‘Hollywood’ in Milan on Sunday night and at ‘Fellini’ in Pogliano Milanese on Thursday. In 1995, during a party in Milan, he is contacted by Free Time Studio, a Radio in Milan, offering him to play on air his dj set. Shortly after, Free Time Studio merged with two others to create Radio Planet Fm. The year after, thank to owners Adriano and Andrea, Chiavistelli creates programs such as ‘Dance Planet’ and ‘Planet Master Dance’, the innovative dance chart that is worth an article on one of the most important Italian music & show magazine ‘TV Sorrisi e Canzoni’. In 2000, 20 radio networks in Italy and Switzerland were playing the ‘Planet Master Dance’. From then on many important collaborations with radio networks, record labels, nightclubs and discos in northern Italy and in the Italian Canton in Switzerland. The sound of his dj set has changed over time but manic attention for technique and the fine selection of records remain the same over the years; he himself loves to define his style as "rhythm with love", a perfect mix of melodies in soul style and groove accentuated by rhythmic tribal nuances. A new radio adventure is on. The passion for music gives birth to ‘My house’ which makes the people of the night move more than anything else. Every week Dj Chiavistelli selects and mixes the best house music of the world creating a great international show played on 65 radio stations between Italy, France, England, Ireland, Spain, United States, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Czech Republic, Macedonia and Bulgaria.
